Medieval Reflection

1. What did I feel successful doing during the process of the project? What am I proud of?
I feel very proud on my presentation because I worked very hard on it and I received good comments on it from my audience.
2. What new skills did I value learning?

I guess you can say that I have improved on my presentation skills on presenting with a small crowd.
3. What was challenging during the process of completing the project? With what did I struggle?
While I had no problems with presenting with an older crowd, my success ended when I was presenting with the smaller kids since they were only interested in my game and the candy than the presentation.
4. How could I have improved my process so that I would have been more effective?
Other than the little kid trauma, I have no problems and thought that I was okay.
5. Did I effectively create an age-appropriate presentation and game for the elementary students?
I did think I created a worthwhile game for the little and bigger people because that was the one of the reasons that they came to my booth.

Reflection on Roman Encyclopedia

1. What did I feel successful doing during the process of the project? What am I proud of?

I feel successful that I have finished my Empire page on the Roman Encyclopedia and that our Jeopardy game was a success. I am proud of everything I did in and out of the class(research).

2. What new skills did I value learning?

The new skills I value learning is that i know quite a lot of information about Ancient Rome and I found out that Rome is actually quite interesting.

3. What was challenging during the process of completing the project? With what did I struggle?

Getting the necessary information for that article in the Roman Encyclopedia and  sometimes in the Jeopardy game my group and I thought it was very annoying and frustrating when we didn’t know the answers to some of the questions.

4. How could I have improved my process so that I would have been more effective?

Work together and work harder.

United Nations World Issues Reflection

  • Think about the presentations and reflect on the projects your classmates presented and the information you listened to. Explain with details and specific information what you learned, what you found interesting, surprising, or shocking about the presentations you heard in class.

The surprising and interesting thing is somehow the topics the UN is doing is related to each other and the shocking thing is that so many people in the world is suffering so much while other people is happy and satisfied with their environment.

  • What would you change to improve your project/presentation if you were to do the assignment again?

I would probably prepare more for the presentation and make sure that the presentation is more interesting to look at like more pictures explaining how you will get a lot of diseases because of the drugs.

Wikispace Reflections 2

  • What would you change about the final product (the wiki you created) if you were to do the assignment again?

I think I would put more pictures and add more details next time.

  • Look at some of the other wikis from any class and find a few that you think are done exceptionally well. Tell me the name of the empire and the block, and then explain what you like about their wiki.

I liked the Mali empire because of the title graphics and the appropriate pictures and maps.

I like reading about the tools section in the Swahili Empire.

I like the Kongo Kingdom because of the pictures and the information about it.

I like the Ghana Empire for its unusual information such as the word Ghana means warrior or a king.

Wikispace Reflection

  • What did you learn from this task?

I learned so much about from this task for example I learn all about the history about Zimbabwe and the area around it. Besides that I learn more on Wikispaces and how to work on it.

  • Did you find this difficult or easy? Why?

i find it quite easy at first because its just researching but when it comes to the NooddleBib part i find it very difficult becuase i havent mastered how to work with NoodleBib yet.

  • What would you change about the process you went through to complete the wiki if you were to do the assignment again?

i think i have done enough except for the pictures part and i don’t really think that two weeks is a good time to work on a big thing as this.

Reflection for the Presentations

Hearing the name West Africa, at first i thought it was just a not so important country just a place in africa that’s all. But as i learn more in my group and also from the presentations i found out a lot of information about it like some time ago before they had real weopens to help them to hunt and protect they used bones and use it for hunting and protection.

I was also aware that sometimes the groups are having a hard time explaining and knowing what the questions  others give about the topic meant; maybe they are not that prepared that mch or they didn’t have that information so they can’t explain properly.

Reflection

A quick autobiography

I am born in Malaysia, I am 11 years old, I have five family members including me, I am from Malaysia and I’m a Chinese. I like to read and write and play the piano. I also like to swim, dance and play tennis, use the computer, do some photography and travel. I like animals, but my favorites are cats and dogs

How will I demonstrate this in iMovie
My life story is not a really detailed story, it just contains a few facts about my life. I will first show a map of Malaysia, a picture of a Chinese flag, a book, a pencil, a piano a swimming pool, a type of dance, a tennis racket, a computer, a camera and a picture of a cat and a dog.

What challenges will I face completing this project
The problems I will face is to figure out nearly all the signs that the computer use to represent a certain thing and also how to do other impossible things.

How will I overcome them
I will figure out how to do it and if I still don’t understand I will ask my teacher for help.

Reflections

Part I : Social Economic Idicators

My Country is Somalia, it’s population is about 8,863,338. the type of government is a transitional and federal government.

Part II : Google Earth Map

Part  III : Peliminary Data Inferences

This nation’s major three problems are that they have no political leader, problems with the weather and diseases. The problem of not having a political leader is when this country has a major problem they will need someone wiser to help them solve the problem.

The other problem of the weather, is when drought comes their crops will die and they have nothing to eat then they will starve to death. The last major problem with the diseases they will have is having malaria and dengue fever; which is very hazardous the to people that they would die.

My Reflections

What did you learn from this task?

I learn to make fonts change color by adding codes and making spaces with it and making it bold.

Did you find this difficult or easy? Why?

At first I thought it would be easy because I always use google at home, but it turned out to be quite hard and a little easy as I get used to adding the codes and such.

What else would you like to learn about creating Google Earth maps?

I would like to learn about anything and understand it as well.
